I believe that literature is still very important in our society. It helps people perfect their grammar and learn new vocabulary. Many people have turned their attention away from literature and towards technology. I think this is bad for our society because reading literature helps to increase a person's knowledge. Studying literature teaches people how to analyze in a whole new way. It pushes people to think deeply and that's a great thing.

I find literature essential for society. Not only does it make a person more educated in language, grammar and vocabulary, but reading someone's work is entering into another mind, feeling, and point of view. It is important to view human beings from the perspective of humans throughout history and a person with a different working mind. Knowledge gained from literature can be reflected or applied to the soul, to think deeper about the point of life. Science and technology only touches the physical world.

Technology is a part of today’s world and I believe that technology is helping to improve the world. However, we still need to have the basics of language in order to be intelligent beings. The people that created today’s technology were all extremely intelligent and I am sure that they were very well read. For the world to progress we need technology; and we will not be able to make technological advances if we simply regress in our intelligence. Literature of all sorts is necessary to become and stay intelligent as well as to be a productive member of society.

Today in our world, technology has become an essential asset in our lives that is continually improving our word every day. Although, technology is very important, we need literature in our lives in order to keep our intelligence progressing. We can't just rely on technology to do everything for us, we need a knowledge outside of the technology world in order to suceed.

I think that literature is still an important part of society. It is essential that we have people that are well educated and are able to help advance our world. If we didnt have well educated people we would not have technology. If we want technology to continue to progress we must still make literature an important aspect of our lives. By analyzing literature people must use their mind and develop their own ideas which helps make our world a more interesing place to live in since everyone thinks differently.

We need to have literature in our lives otherwise society will forget what patience and creativity are. Unfortunately with the internet, we instantaneously get what we want; whether it is news, youtube videos, or Facebook statuses. Because of this, our attention span and creativity skills are getting smaller and smaller. Reading literature demands patience and creativity so that we can interpret the writer's hidden messages. People bereft of these skills will find it hard in the real world, where patience and creativity are key skills in the workplace.

I think literature still does matter in the world. With the increasing use of the internet and other technologies, were losing our original language and getting impatient because we now want everything at a click of a button and taking the time to read a book now seems pointless to some when they realize they can just sparknotes it. Yes technology and computers do help us and advance things, but we don't want to lose our culture that we obtain from books, poems, and other pieces of literature and lose the common ground that we would otherwise all have.

Although science and math are important, I do believe that Literature is important too. Literature and writing helps us learn to be creative and learn to think outside the box. As students, it's important for us to gain the skills to write later in life, even if we may not use them that often in day to day life. School should not be focused on just one subjects but on creating well rounded adults for society.
